Civil Supervisor

About the role

Ventia are responsible for managing and maintaining Road Assets on behalf of clients in the Southeast Queensland region. We're looking for a Civil Supervisor on our Road's Maintenance Project in a Caloundra based depot to lead our team of civil workers to deliver maintenance activities. This role will be achieved through effective planning and supervision of labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors within a safe work environment.
The role will be a 8-month temporary contract with the possibility of full-time work beyond February 2024. You will be paid a daily rate to work Monday to Friday on site.

What you will be doing and be expected to have experience in
- Provide accountable leadership in the delivery, recording and completion of maintenance activities ensuring effective claims with the client
- Manage Quality Assurance, Conformance and record keeping
- Monitoring and analysing time and resource utilisation including materials in line with operated allocation system and ensuring cost/ value analysis is undertaken on jobs and activities.
- Monitoring performance and re-assessing efficiency, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary
- Conducting regular toolbox talks addressing safety, quality and performance standards and issues
- Planning and scheduling own and team's work to meet required timelines and outputs through prioritising activities against daily program and liaison with appropriate project staff
- Provide direction and leadership to the workforce ensuring that our safety culture remains strong.
- Conducting Effective incident reporting and influencing of safe work practices across the team.
