**About the Role**:
The Waste Transport Officer is a member of a team responsible for leading EPA’s regulatory response to waste transport, including administration of Waste Tracker, aligned to EPA’s strategic priorities to prevent harms to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.

You will use your initiative, judgement and communication skills to deliver clearly defined tasks in the waste transport compliance program, aligned to EPA’s strategic priorities, to prevent harms to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.

**In this role you will**:

- Use your initiative to deliver allocated tasks aligned to organisational priorities in accordance with approved project/programs plans.
- Actively contribute to the development of a positive and high performing team culture, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices.
- As directed by the Waste Transport Officer (VPS 4), undertake tasks to support the delivery of the statewide waste transport compliance program; including administration of Waste Tracker, monitoring and reporting, joint roadside operations, inspections; infringements and other enforcement actions.
- Contribute to the maintenance of EPA’s waste transport policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all legislative and policy requirements.

**Skills and Experience**:

- A relevant tertiary degree or qualifications is desirable.
- An understanding of environmental regulation as it relates to pollution and waste is desirable.
