**The Property & Employer**:
Our clients are an expanding enterprise operating over 1,250 arable hectares on Kangaroo Island, South Australia. This aggregation is built up of three adjoining properties with a carrying capacity of 17,000 DSE. Running a self-replacing merino flock 2/3rd is joined back to merino and the other 1/3rd are joined to White Suffolks for prime lamb production enterprise. The key focus in this business is on fine wool, white wool, and clean fleece weight per ha. **The Role**:
We are searching for an ambitious operations manager to join this rapidly expanding enterprise on Kangaroo Island, SA. The overall role will be to oversee the implementation of the mutually agreed operations calendar and set targets. With help from the owners, this will include all aspects of animal husbandry, pasture renovations and management, the management of casual and other permanent staff and ensuring all jobs are completed to the highest quality. This exciting role is one that will grow for the right person as the business is expanding, there is equal opportunity for you to develop with it.

Key Responsibilities:

- Making sure all animal husbandry is carried out to a high standard
- Liaising with contractors to ensure tasks such as shearing, trucking, scanning, and crutching are performed on time and properly.
- Maximising stock health and performance
- Attention to seasonal stocking rates
- Strong record-keeping
- Attending field days to keep on top of industry development
- Maintaining plant equipment
- Aid in the budgeting and contributing to farm policy
- Creating a positive team atmosphere where other employee needs are met

Any major services in Adelaide is within a 4-hr drive with a scenic & daily ferry ride to compliment the experience or one of the regular short flights with the airport 20 minutes down the road.
