Cam Supervisor

Our Precision Tooling (PT) Department, based in Sydney, is an integral part of our Global Moulding Function, delivering high-quality LSR injection moulds and automation using cutting-edge industrial technology.

We are looking for an experienced CAM Supervisor to lead our team of CAM Programmers, ensuring the successful completion of projects while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Let's Talk About the Role:
- Supervise & Lead: Manage and mentor a team of CAM Programmers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and safely.- Manufacturing Strategy: Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager and CNC Supervisor to develop and execute programming strategies for our 3 and 5-axis milling machines, CMM, and other CNC processes.- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements, working towards cost reductions and improved manufacturing efficiency.- Schedule Management: Oversee programming task schedules, manage work orders, and ensure timely project completion to meet CNC start targets.- Collaboration: Work closely with the CNC Team Lead and Tool Design Manager to define project requirements and optimize manufacturing strategies for new tooling projects.- Quality & Safety: Ensure all programming and machining processes adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.- Team Development: Promote a cross-skilled and adaptable workforce, encouraging continuous development and collaboration within the team.- Recruitment & Growth: Assist the Manufacturing Manager in recruiting new CAM Programmers to support team growth and future project needs.

- Strong experience in CAM programming and CNC machining processes, ideally with 3 and 5-axis milling machines.- Proven leadership skills, with a focus on team development and cross-skilling.- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.- A strong commitment to quality control, safety, and continuous improvement.- Experience in managing schedules and ensuring timely project completion.
