**About the Role**
The Cardiac Technician will provide technical services for the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease for example recording of ECGs and exercise stress tests. The cardiac technologist operates a range of diagnostic equipment which provides cardiologists and other VMOs with data that informs patient care.
The Cardiac electrophysiological technologist performs a range of diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures (EP) in the cardiac catheterisation laboratory. This position requires an expert technologist who is highly skilled and experienced in the field and who uses their knowledge to deliver exceptional care to patients. This position will involve the setup and commencement of the EP program including:

- Ordering and management of procedural consumables
- Setup, operation and troubleshooting of lab equipment
- Development of policies and protocols as required
- Providing education and training to staff
- Performing and assisting physicians with EP procedures and operating various EP equipment

You will bring to our high-performing team:

- Bachelor of Applied Science or equivalent
- Qualifications in sonography or equivalent
- Current registration with ASAR
- Good understanding of the factors that may affect the methods used for heart monitoring
- Familiar and competent to operate a range of cardiac equipment
- Skilled with the technical ability to operate complex medical equipment
- An ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
- High degree of computer literacy including Microsoft Office
- Previous Experience in the private health system would be well regarded
