**Position Overview**:
As the Head Waiter at Baia The Italian, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless dining experiences for our guests. From taking orders to offering expert advice on food and beverage pairings, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service. Your expertise in advising on menu items and wine service will contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Order Taking**:

- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests are communicated to the kitchen.
- Provide recommendations on menu items based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
- **Menu Advice**:

- Offer detailed information about the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and flavors.
- Suggest food and beverage pairings to enhance the dining experience.
- Provide guidance on portion sizes and share insights into customer favorites.
- **Wine Service**:

- Collaborate with the Sommelier to assist guests in selecting the perfect wine to complement their meal.
- Present and pour wines with elegance, adhering to established service standards.
- **Customer Engagement**:

- Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through attentive and personalized service.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Provide guidance and support to the waitstaff, promoting a cohesive team environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Head Waiter or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine and familiarity with wine pairings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Salary**: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Section Waiter: 3 years (preferred)
