**Manager, Investment Analysis**

**The Role**

The Manager, Investment Analyst is responsible for delivering robust analysis, financial modelling and advice on the portfolio's financial/commercial transactions and capital program. This includes advice on complex strategic commercial/financial transactions and the delivery of the portfolio's capital and non-capital investment proposals.

Utilising strong financial analysis, modelling capabilities, data analytics, advisory and interpersonal skills to negotiate, influence and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, this role is responsible for the continued improvement of departments capital/commercial program outcomes, development and implementation of whole of department policies, frameworks, and strategies to improve financial/commercial governance and risk management across the portfolio in the most efficient and effective way.

**The Team**

The position of Manager, Investment Analysis forms a part of the Corporate Services Group and Finance, Investment and Procurement Branch. This Branch supports best practice resource allocation, budget and financial management and procurement across the department. It does this through the provision of strategic advice to the senior Executive and Ministers, development and implementation of frameworks, policies, systems and internal controls in accordance with the Financial Management Act 1994, other relevant legislation, accounting standards and Department of Treasury and Finance and Victorian Government Purchasing Board requirements.

**About You**

Significant financial/commercial analytical and advisory experience is required, together with outstanding leadership, conceptual and analytical ability, judgement, communication, relationship building and influencing skills. Experience in leading end to end commercial transactions in a complex /diverse setting. A strong leader that is able to provide strong collaborative, values-based leadership, with full accountability for all aspects of people management.
