**About your Team**: Our internal audit team is based in our central office and in offices across the state, working across all areas of the department's operations and functions, conducting audits and providing professional advice to support its strategic direction. We foster an inclusive team with a shared goal to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department's governance, risk management and internal control processes. Our audit plans cover our network of schools as well as our corporate environments.
**About your Role**: As the Manager, you will lead your team of audit, information and data specialists to:
- Manage the delivery of audits undertaken by our co-sourced audit provider
- Deliver high quality outcomes in accordance with relevant professional standards and defined audit methodologies
- Work collaboratively with clients and key stakeholders to achieve internal audit objectives
- Conntribute to the implementation of the branch data strategy and enhanced use of data to inform audit planning and delivery
- Improve departmental governance and risk control in information technology and security
- Assist embedding improved testing of key IS risks and controls and use of data into all aspects of branch audit activities
**About You: Coming from a similar role, you will be able to**:
- Contribute to the development of strategic, operational and annual audit plans
- Plan and deliver a comprehensive program of audits, reviews, data analytics and projects across the department ensuring quality assurance over work performed
- Provide advice to senior management and stakeholders on improving effectiveness in areas including compliance, governance, risk and control.

**Technical Requirements**: Although no formal qualifications are required, it is desirable that you would have relevant experience in a similar role either in a public or private sector setting. Any tertiary qualifications in a related field would be highly regarded as would professional membership of relevant associations.
