**The Role**
The primary duties of this role include:
- Analysing incoming work area priorities, managing workflows and evaluating outcomes;
- Ensuring correct content, format and appropriateness of documentation submitted to the Branch:
- Quality control of ministerial and committee artefacts;
- Prioritise and break-down complex tasks into functional work packages;
- Providing advice and guidance on workflow processes;
- Minute taking, managing forward work programs, developing committee artefacts;
- Contributing to the strategic direction, business planning and operations of the Executive Support unit;
- Assist develop and coordinating complex briefing material, correspondence and reports on governance and legislate initiatives, coordination of responses to Parliamentary questions,
- Assist with the provision of Secretariat support and coordination of committee artefacts to several steering groups and senior committees;
- Assist with development and maintenance of Ministerial and Committee Sharepoint sites;
- Assist with the maintenance of JHC Web intranet content;
- Workgroup Coordinator Objective functions for Committees / Ministerial and provide technical support and redundancy for the JHC Command in Objective Workgroup Coordinator Functions.

Health, Business and Plans (HBP), within the Joint Health Command (JHC) is a dynamic and fast paced branch responsible for strategic business, contracts and personnel.
The Parliamentary and Committee function is embedded as part of the Executive Support Unit for JHC.
HBP has an exciting opportunity for a high performing and experienced APS 6 to fulfil the role of Ministerial & Committees Knowledge Manager, working to Executive Level Staff and supporting the work of the Commander Joint Health. The position will work as part of the busy Executive Support Unit and will perform a range of functions across both the Parliamentary and Committee areas.
In this position you will gain insight into the breadth and scale of services being delivered by JHC to support Defence capability and priorities, including the Defence priorities outlined in the Defence Strategic Review. The role requires interaction with senior executive staff across Defence.
