Job Summary
Woolacotts Consulting Engineers are seeking a Trainee Drafter to join our dynamic team, responsible for the design and development of technical drawings for a variety of projects. This role places a strong emphasis on Revit and requires adherence to high-quality drawing standards while ensuring effective communication to minimize redraws and improve procedural efficiency.
Role Description
Complete a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent attending TAFE 1 day a week alongside 4 days of office work. Use Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to produce accurate engineering drawings and 3D models Structural, Civil, and Hydraulic. Collaborate with drafters and engineers to meet quality targets. Accurately estimate and negotiate project timelines, managing changes while minimizing project delays. Obtain a general construction induction card White Card to attend Site Inspection to assist in development and understanding of construction and detailing. Conduct supervised site visits as needed, reporting on design updates and ensuring all drawings comply with documented designs. TAFE Fees are at our expense with the Traineeship generally taking 3 Years of combined TAFE and Office Hours.
**Required Skills**:
Aptitude for design and technology. Ability to adapt to change and work within a fast paced environment. Strong command of the English language both verbal and written. High computer literacy including Word and Excel.
