Eden Ritchie are seeking a Principal Finance Officer (Taxation) to provide leadership and technical expertise in corporate taxation policy and practices to ensure the Organisation's Commonwealth and State taxation obligations are met, including developing appropriate better practice approaches such as risk management in taxation administration.

**As the Diversity and Inclusion Specialist your responsibilities include**:

- Develop and maintain appropriate policies, procedures, guidelines and systems to facilitate and improve taxation compliance.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of developments in taxation legislation, Australian Taxation Office rulings, determinations, case law, sector-wide issues and financial systems in order to provide accurate advice and recommendations necessary to preserve taxation compliance.
- Utilise information management technology and financial systems to monitor, investigate, analyse and report on taxation issues, and implement the necessary measures that will ensure compliance.
- Present clear and concise reports and information based on sound interpretation with comprehensive and persuasive arguments that identify all relevant issues in order to influence compliance.
- Develop, recommend and implement appropriate solutions for the Organisation in relation to complex financial and taxation issues.
- Liaise, consult and negotiate internally and externally, providing timely authoritative advice and legislative interpretation on taxation issues to business areas and management.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs, deliver presentations, and represent Finance Branch, Corporate Divisions and/or the Organisation in various financial administration forums to advocate Taxation Services position and business requirements.
- Foster a professional environment which encourages commitment, ethical behaviour, skills development, professional growth and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the achievement of Finance Branch outcomes by contributing to the preparation and implementation of branch plans and promoting an aligned and coordinated Branch approach.
- Comply with contemporary human resource practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination.
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

**To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills**:

- Demonstrated experience and successful performance in corporate taxation policy and practices, including developing and implementing appropriate better practice approaches and continuous improvement initiatives in taxation administration; and developing, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions in relation to complex financial and taxation issues.
- Demonstrated expertise in the use of information management technology and financial systems, together with experience in the research, review, interpretation and analysis of information and in formulating recommendations and reports to management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams, demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills, as well as expertise in the development and delivery of training programs.

**While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.**

**Intrastate travel may be a requirement of this role.**
