Junior Assistant

The Kumon Method is an individualised learning method for English and mathematics, where the starting point for each student is determined individually to match the material studied to the current ability of the child.

Kumon North Hobart Education Centre is currently seeking casual Junior Assistants. The role of the Junior Assistant will be to support the Instructor to develop each student’s ability to self-learn so that they can study advanced material in math or English.

Tasks undertaken at the Centre will include:

- Mark and record Kumon worksheets
- Prepare the Centre for opening and closing
- Observing and instructing students
- Listening to oral reading and/or multiplication tables

Kumon North Hobart Education Centre operates on from the end of Pedder Street in New Town. Shifts are on Mondays and Thursdays between 330pm and 730pm and Tuesdays and Fridays between 330pm and 530pm, year-round.

If you are in grades 8, 9 or 10 in high school or studying at College and are available at least 2 afternoons a week, if not more, and are a very organised person with excellent administration skills please contact Carmel Davies, Instructor on 0478 581 311.

**Salary**: $9.84 - $26.11 per hour
