**ABOUT** **PERTH OFFICE**

South32’s corporate office is located in the heart of Perth’s CBD. It houses key functions, including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk, and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The **Analyst Marketing Finance** is responsible for conducting and supporting the period-end close process, including preparing statutory accounts, providing accounting advice for Marketing, and providing input into the Group’s budgeting and forecasting cycle. They also ensure high-quality analysis and accurate reporting of the Group’s financial results.

Reporting to Manager Marketing Finance, other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

- Coordinate and perform the period-end close process
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of Revenue accounting
- Prepare reconciliations of relevant general ledger accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately
- Ongoing review of general ledgers to ensure transactions are recorded accurately
- Interact and provide data to internal and external auditors as necessary
- Provides support to management in the preparation of revenue & operating budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with the relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and South32 control framework
- Consolidating and preparing briefing papers and other internal/external management reporting requirements for half-year and year end reporting requirements (Quarterly Production Report, Results Announcement, Operations Finance Review, etc.)

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

- Experience in accounting/risk/finance/audit or related field is desirable
- Proficient in the use of SAP, BI and Cognos (preferable)
- Sound understanding of finance processes and deliverables in a corporate/commercial environment
- Analytical and accurate, with an inquisitive mindset to critically evaluate information and numbers
- Positive, flexible, and dynamic approach

Qualifications for this position are:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- CA / CPA or equivalent qualification
