**About Your Next Opportunity**:
We now have an opportunity for full-time and part-time **Pathology Specimen Collectors** to join our Pathology Collection team in our Brisbane Hospital Collection teams, predominantly at the Wesley and Greenslopes Private Hospitals.
**Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GPs, and Medical Centre staff.**
You will need to be able to work across a 7-day roster with shifts starting from 5.00 am and late shifts finishing at 10.30 pm and involvement in a public hospital.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to:
- Treat our patients with care and compassion;
- Receive urine and faeces samples;
- Record patient information;
- Complete online training via our eLearning training system; and
- Liaise with referrers and ancillary services in other health settings.

You will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during your first twelve months of working with us. Once you’ve completed your training, you will receive an SNP training certificate.

- Can work effectively by themselves as well as with other team members.
- Has the confidence to work independently.
- Displays efficient time management and problem-solving skills
Moreover, you will have a commitment to service excellence with good interpersonal and liaison skills.
A First Aid Certificate is also a requirement of the role.
Although not essential, a Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection as well as previous experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors with a natural knack for caring for others will also be regarded highly.

Starting rate is $26.5440 with a view to $31.6871 when required training, including Arterial Blood Gases, Respiratory Swab Collections and Advanced Paediatric Collections, is completed.
