- Full-time, Fixed Term position until December 2023- Salary Academic Level B ($102,474 - $121,690) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements- Based at the Bundoora campus- May be required to undertake overseas travel for teaching at RMIT overseas campuses or the campuses of partner institutions

About the Role

The Nutrition, Sensory Evaluation and Food Technology Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in nutrition, sensory evaluation and food technology. More specifically, the Lecturer is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate, Masters and Graduate Diploma programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities.

The Lecturer is also expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. The Lecturer is expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in nutrition, sensory evaluation and food technology. The Lecturer may be responsible for course coordination. The Lecturer may be required to travel overseas to undertake teaching activities.

To be successful for this level B appointment, you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver courses related to nutrition, sensory evaluation and food technology at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. The ability to produce high quality curriculum or course materials.- Capacity to undertake course delivery in different situations, including online delivery, face-to-face delivery, and delivery at overseas campuses of RMIT University and the campuses of partner universities.- Ability to undertake the course coordination role.- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.- Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.-
- Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.**Qualifications**:
Mandatory: PhD or equivalent in relevant field.
