**Position Title: Ward Clerk
Classification: HS1A
Salary per hour (exc. super): $27.75
Hours per fortnight: 80
Employment Status: Fixed Term Part Time

**Role Description**

The Receptionist/Ward Clerk is the first point of contact for staff and patients. This position also provides valuable help to the technical and medical staff within the department using a wide range of administrative skills.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Reception and registration of all patients, make bookings, and perform all other clerical duties required for a cardiology diagnostic &/or appointment.
- Processing referrals in line with Specialist Clinics access policy
- MBS clinic billing and batching (assist with billing process from invoicing, through to allocation)
- Ability to use PRODA and Medilink
- Ensure that patient and visitor inquiries are handled promptly and efficiently using exceptional customer service
- Participate in staff training and development as required
- Develop and maintain general office systems and procedures to ensure efficiency
- Update Cardiobase and iPM data bases where required (data entry and collection).

**The Team**

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, allied health, cancer and mental health services. We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services. Our Allied Health teams provide a diverse range of programs and person centred care in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.
