We have an opportunity for **2 x Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officers **to work on our Defence Account, and contribute greatly to the implementation, delivery and continuous improvement of our Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) processes across multiple bases within Sydney.

This role is based across S **ydney **, **NSW **with travel between multiple sites within Regional NSW required.

**Due to the security clearance required for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen.**

In this role you will:

- Travel between multiple sites (bases) and provide site HSE services on behalf of BGIS
- Work proactively to deliver a qualitative system that meets all HSE requirements of both BGIS and Defence
- Ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations, including WHS and Environmental systems such as AS/NZS 4801/ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
- Report on and investigate HSE incidents
- Coach and provide HSE training and technical support for contract-based employees.
- Conduct internal audits and site audits and assist with third party prep.

Skills & Experience
- HSE experience within the construction, property management or facility management industries highly desirable
- Knowledge of HSE legislative requirements, industry compliance and accreditation standards
- Sound Knowledge and experience utilising and maintaining online compliance-based systems
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, engagement and interpersonal skills
- Certificate IV in WHS and Environmental Management or a related discipline (at a minimum, Certificate IV in WHS Management)
- Ability to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible / innovative approach.
- At least 12 months experience in a HSE Advisory role (at minimum)
