The responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:
Delivery of ongoing commercial support and oversight of a number of large and complex ICT vendors and Commercial arrangements.
Preparation of written documentation, including senior management briefing packs and reports and complex procurement documentation.
Elevating commercial acumen across multi-faceted teams.
Management of IMD's ICT Commercial Governance and Assurance outcomes including facilitation of vendor forums as required.
Prioritisation and management of commercial resources to meet operational capability requirements across IMD.
Contribution to DFAT's ICT commercial strategic planning.
Fostering of collaborative enterprise stakeholder relationships.
You will work in a close-knit team of ICT commercial and procurement staff to achieve these outcomes. Collaboratively managing and resolving contract risks and issues as well as identifying opportunities and bringing together Defence and Industry partners in the focus of capability requirements is integral to the role.
You will possess a high level of ICT commercial knowledge and experience, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement to deliver outcomes in a complex and technical environment
Essential criteria
To fulfil the responsibilities of the role, the following criteria are essential:
Proven experience to establish, maintain and coordinate positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with particular focus of ICT Contract Management delivery.
Proven experience in Agile delivery with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of Government.
Demonstrated experience assisting project teams to mature their ways of working.
Experience in delivery high-quality written communication, including Executive briefings at SES levels.
Desirable criteria
To fulfil the responsibilities of the role, the following criteria are desired:

- Qualifications in procurement &/or contract management, such as a Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Contracting.
- Experience in undertaking procurement &/or contract management activities within existing Department policies and processes.
High quality communication skills, including the ability to liaise widely and develop productive working relationships at all levels.
