**About the Role**

Newington College has vacancies of the Library Technical Operation Specialist position that are suitable for inquisitive and passionate librarians to join our Library Team as soon as practically possible.

The Library Technical Operations Specialist is an integral member of the Stanmore Library team and Newington community. They aim to deliver a high quality of service and will be an active member of a team that is looking to the future of libraries and the multitude of services that they offer. As well as possessing strong technical knowledge and skills, the Library Technical Operations Specialist will model and promote a love of literature and active participation in reading.

- and contributes to a culture that is vibrant, caring, curious and courageous.

**About You**
- ideally holds a qualification acceptable for either professional or library technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)
- has relevant experience and success within a school, university and/or public library and high-level technical skills, including knowledge of library management systems, including familiarity with LibApps and LibGuides
- holds a valid WWCC
- understands the changing role and enduring value of libraries
- be organised and has excellent time management skills
- communicates clearly, personably, and effectively in a variety of settings
- understand and adhere to the College’s Child Safeguarding policies and practices
- contribute to the continuous improvement of Child Safeguarding at Newington.
