**The role**

We are looking for an existing Senior Business/Commercial Banker or an experienced Business Banker ready for a senior appointment to join our team, to manage a portfolio of business banking clients. This opportunity will see you focusing on the management of an existing specialised portfolio whilst growing strong referral sources, community links and new business partnerships as part of a team approach.

The Professional Services team specialise in a variety of customer segments, some of which include Accountants, Real Estate Agents, Financial Planners and Lawyers.

Wollongong offers a fantastic lifestyle location, from surf beaches, fantastic coastline and Harbour to rainforests and waterfalls, and fantastic infrastructure to support this thriving city, including a University.

**Your opportunity**
- Developing and managing a portfolio of key business banking customers and referral partners
- Assessing economic value and risk potential of new business
- Educating customers about their business options and providing sound advice about risk and opportunities for growth
- Proactively calling on networks of contacts to help identify new business and referral opportunities
- Implementing initiatives to support customer acquisition in local market, including delivering industry specific insights
- Working with customers on their proposed annual business plans
- Preparing and submitting customer lending proposals with the support of our associate team
- Working with internal specialists to best serve your customers

**What you will bring**:

- Strong prior demonstrated experience within business banking and/or credit assessment
- Comprehensive understanding of business/ commercial practices with significant emphasis on sales, lending, credit assessment and control experience
- Business related degree and/or post-graduate professional qualification is preferred
