This is a rare opportunity to work for a Company that has established a highly successful chain of Optometrist stores, and more are planned for development in Western Australia. They are also in the final stages of planning their expansion into the Eastern States and their projected growth for the next 5 years is significant.

The Company’s mission is for their stores to provide professional optometric services and complement these with expert sales staff who deliver the best customer experience for their optical eyewear needs.

A key feature of the Company is their training and the support they provide to employees. At Options Optometrists you will become a Certified Eyewear Practitioner which enables you to work anywhere within the group. The Company has an excellent record of employee retention and it certainly is an employer of choice.

**The Position**

This position has become available due to an internal promotion. Its function calls for a person who can work autonomously and with little supervision. As Manager, it is expected that you have the initiative and to handle matters and issues as they arise.

Key responsibilities of the role are:

- **Sales and Administration**

Ø Respond to calls and book Optometrist appointments in online systems.

Ø Warmly relate to customers and give them the best optical eyewear solutions.

Ø Help train staff and supervise them with a collaborative and supportive manner.

Ø Administer the requirements of Medicare, Health Benefit Providers for the store and customers.

Ø Manage cash and electronic payments and banking requirements.
- **Eyewear**

Ø Provide advice and recommendations to customers on the differing elements of single and multifocal options and frame selection.

Ø Learn and develop a sound knowledge of fitting and adjusting eyewear.

Ø Ensure the store is stocked, functional and displays are perfect.
- **Marketing and Promotions**

Ø Assist with marketing and promotions.

Ø Feature and explain the benefits of the Company’s eyewear promotions.

Ø Ensure the Company’s brand is enhanced and not compromised.

**The Person**

To be successful in this position, it is expected that you have relevant optical store management experience - or you can demonstrate that you have the capability to step up and succeed in the role. Full training and support will be provided.

Working in a clinic and providing eyewear solutions requires a person to have a certain style and presence. It is also expected that you have excellent communication skills and your empathy with customers and staff is of a high level.

The Company has excellent IT systems which are very user friendly. It is expected that you can develop a sound knowledge of their functionality and also make the customer experience simple and beneficial.

**The Opportunity and Benefits for you**

This is an opportunity to be part of a small, passionate team and to work with a respected brand. You will have ‘ownership’ of segments of the business and report to an MD and be supported by their Executive Assistant. This will enable you to embrace the job fully, autonomously and with very little intervention.

This is a full-time position. Store hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday except for Thursdays closing at 7.00pm. Weekly rosters include the requirement to work on Thursdays and Saturdays. However, staff at the store amiably work out the best balance amongst themselves.
