About the Company

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Agriculture Technician to join our team at Regans Ford Estate & Western Berry Company. As an Agriculture Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, productivity, and quality of our blueberry and olive crops. You will work closely with our farm managers and agricultural experts to implement various farming techniques, monitor crop health, and optimize production processes.

- Responsibilities:

- Periods of working in remote locations
- Management seasonal casuals and contractors
- Understanding of farm operations and seasonal demands.
- Horticultural crop production.
- Operate and maintain a range of modern farming machinery
- Forklift and Front End Loader use, (Desirable).
- A high attention to detail
- Accurate record keeping
- Adherence to WH&S regulations.

**Job Description**:

- Managing production, growth targets and health and wellbeing of our growing commercial colony in consultation with the team
- Assist in the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of blueberry and olive crops.
- Monitor plant health, identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, and implement appropriate measures for pest and disease control.
- Assist in irrigation management and ensure optimal soil moisture levels for blueberry growth.
- Conduct soil sampling and analysis to assess soil fertility and make recommendations for soil amendments.
- Collaborate with farm managers and agronomists to develop and implement crop management plans.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Working with team leads to ensure projects meet deadlines
- Monitoring the day-to-day data entry for accuracy and efficiency
- Management of sampling for quality assurance and testing,
- Upkeep of farming facilities, equipment and systems.
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment
- Inventory management and ordering as required.
- Provide constructive feedback to elevate the team.
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentations
- Liaising/ ADVISING with team to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of blueberry cultivation practices, soil management, and pest control techniques.
- Familiarity with agricultural machinery and equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during peak seasons.
