Additional Information:

- These positions are Permanent Part-time 50hrs or 60hrs/fortnight.
- The internal job title for this role is Sales Co-worker.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts ranging from 9am to 9:30pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction Monday 22 July and Tuesday 23 July 9am-5pm.
- If you are successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 22 July 2024.

**About this work area**

As Sales Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Be an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact our customer’s experience by being able to offer solutions and answer questions that relate to their kitchen and home furnishing needs.
- Actively approach customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for them.
- Supporting customers with their kitchen design process using the kitchen planning 3D rendering software and accessory workshop. You will build strong relationships with the customer throughout their planning journey.
- Following up on customers after initial planning appointments, via phone call to discuss their kitchen designs, answer questions, and address any concerns.
- Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Stay knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits.

As Sales Co-worker you are or have:

- A passion for our home furnishing products and working with customers.
- A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
- A calm and confident approach along with strong communication and customer skills, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and manage your own tasks.
- You have proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA kitchen, dining, and bathroom range.
- A safe mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive lifting.
- Prior experience selling in a fast-paced customer centric retail environment. A background in showrooms sales and kitchen design will be highly regarded.
