Bakery Operative

**About the role**

Gumnut Bakery & Cafe is seeking a skilled Baker / Pastry Chef for an IMMEDIATE START to join our team in our Mudgeeraba, QLD location. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in the production and preparation of our delicious range of baked goods and pastries.

**What you'll be doing**
- Preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and other baked goods according to recipes and customer orders
- Ensuring all products meet high quality standards for appearance, taste and freshness
- Assisting with the setup and maintenance of the bakery production area
- Collaborating with the team to optimise workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment and adhering to all food safety regulations

**What we're looking for**
- Formal training and qualifications in baking or pastry arts, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure to meet production goals
- Creative flair and an eye for detail to produce visually appealing baked goods
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for creating high-quality, artisanal baked products

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
