**Role**

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed onsite ensuring the factory reaches volume, quality and cost/efficiency goals without compromising on safety. This role is also responsible for organising and monitoring workflow on the production floor and identifying improvements in employee efficiency to maximise production output and profits.**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Lead a team to meet safety, quality, cost, efficiency, delivery and customer requirements.
- Manage and supervise all production lines and facilities at the production site.
- Communicate and maintain shift standards and working schedules for production.
- Work with sales, quality control, safety, logistics and maintenance to ensure optimum production performance.
- Ensure production costs remain within budget.
- Coordinate the maintenance of production machinery through the maintenance department.
- Ensure compliance with all quality systems and processes.
- Monitor the quality and quantities of production materials and assist with Quality Audits.
- Implement cost and labour-saving initiatives.
- Assist in forecasting of labour requirements and recommend initiatives to improve employee engagement/productivity, equipment and work layout, production methods and material handling procedures.
- Responsible for recognition, discipline, safety and training of operators on their shift.

- Demonstrated experience managing a manufacturing site and related processes.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to organise work of production departments to ensure that objectives and targets are achieved at maximum efficiency and within budgeted costs.
- Ability to manage plant operations to set standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Past experience working in block manufacturing desirable but not necessary.
