**What this job involves**:
You’ll work at a renowned shopping centre at the Gold Coast, taking advantage of the seaside environment, learning all there is to know about Operations Management in a retail environment.

The working hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm and the role will assist the centre operations team with the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the shopping centre, including loading dock supervision, daily asset inspections, tenant communication, waste/ rubbish control as well as contractor management.

Other key responsibilities will include understanding risk and compliance measures that cover the common mall areas and external areas accessed by the public, conducting centre inspections daily prior to the centre opening, ensuring any hazards or issues are reported and completing property audits to their set frequency and process.

There are a lot of stakeholders to liaise with in a busy environment in a high traffic part of the world, so this will be an invaluable learning experience and great for your resume given the role offers enormous growth and development opportunities.

You're a positive self-starter, and you love building relationships with customers, retail staff, centre management, contractors and regulators. You also have good communication skills both written and verbal and a competent level of computer and iPad proficiency with iAuditor, Excel, SharePoint, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Preferably you have prior experience a storeroom or warehouse environment with the ability to learn how to read and interpret building and lease plans and a keen interest in learning about sustainability targets which must be achieved on an annual basis.

You’ll be confident using plant equipment (ladders) and ideally hold a scissor lift and forklift ticket.
