Duration of the training program: 12 months from 3/2/25 up to 1/2/26

Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement

At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract.

**About the role**

The Royal Adelaide Hospital has a position available in 2023 for a renal registrar who is currently working in the Northern Territory, to enable them to complete the requirements for their training in nephrology with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. This position can be filled by one person for 12 months and will be based out of the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH).

As a member of a multi-disciplinary team in renal medicine, the Medical Practitioner (Registrar) will support this mission by assuming the supervised, clinical management of patients under the direct care of that team, as well as the management of patients from other teams during "on-call" or "out of hours" duty. The Medical Practitioner also has an important role supervising resident medical officers and assisting medical students with their learning, as well as role modelling appropriate behaviours to junior colleagues.

**Qualifications**

Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
