**About the Client**
Our client is a world-renowned and well-established manufacturing company looking to bring on-board a leasing champion for a 12 Month Contract into their Melbourne Property team to assist with their Large Retail Portfolio

**About the Role**
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Property Leasing Manager to take charge of the strategic management of our company's assets and property portfolio and the development and maintenance of their Store and Warehouse perpetual network plan. You'll be working with a diverse range of offices, retail stores, and warehouses located throughout Australia and New Zealand. This key role involves overseeing the lease administration process, collaborating with external leasing teams and legal experts, and assisting in the preparation of all leasing documentation.

**Responsibilities**
- Negotiating leasing arrangements and handling the preparation and execution of lease documentation, while adhering to the franchising code of conduct and local government regulations.
- Managing leases on an ongoing basis, overseeing the outsourced Property Management contract, and handling Accounts Payable efficiently.
- Leased and freehold properties, including the store network (comprising both Company-owned and franchised outlets), national offices, and warehouses, to determine the most optimal service and cost-effective options.
- Strategically plan for Capital Expenditure requirements
- Approved all invoices pertaining to rent, outgoings collections, and landlord payments.
- Providing support as needed in managing general maintenance, risk, and compliance matters.
- Acquiring and divesting store sites based on agreed assessment criteria, performance benchmarks and lease expiry dates
- Evaluating the most suitable channel strategy, including franchise options, company-owned stores, or brand license agreements.
- Developing and maintaining Asset registers

Why Join:

- 1 - 2 years’ experience in leasing in the commercial and retail property industry.
- Qualifications in a Property Development, Business Sales, Management or Real Estate is highly desirable.
- Confident in the negotiation, preparation, examination, interpretation and administration of lease agreements.
- Ability to prepare and monitor budgets and sound financial awareness.
- Capability to effectively oversee property and support service functions offered to the leasing team.
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders, customers, landlords, lawyers and agents.
