The Macquarie School of Education is looking to appoint to an Associate Lecturer / Lecturer for a teaching position with a focus on Health and Physical Education in the Primary School Years. The successful applicant will engage in an active research program and contribute to curriculum development and teaching.
About You
You will be completing Post Graduate Studies in Health and Physical Education or a PhD or evidence of equivalent research recognition in Health and Physical Education, or equivalent. You will have a good track record of delivering high quality learning and teaching in Primary Health and Physical Education and preferably with a strong emphasis on Health education, student wellbeing, and/or health literacy and for Level B will have a program of research (preferably school-based) with a track record of quality publications. Experience teaching in primary classroom environments is considered an asset. If you are an excellent communicator with a proactive nature, flexible, able to work in teams and have excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills, then this is a role you will thrive in and a School you will enjoy working with.

Selection Criteria for Associate Lecturer (Level A):
- Postgraduate studies in Education with a desire to pursue Higher Degree Research (or partial completion of Higher Degree Research)- Demonstrated academic knowledge of health and physical literacy, the NSW PDHPE curriculum, and quality health and physical education pedagogy along with a commitment and capability to deliver high quality learning and teaching, including the design, delivery, and management of lectures, tutorials, and assessment- Demonstrated capacity to provide high quality teaching for pre-service teachers or high quality professional learning for in-service teachers- Demonstrated commitment to principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion Track-record of making positive contributions, or capacity to contribute, to administration in a University or professional setting- Record of enhancing, or capacity to enhance, institutional reputation through engagement with relevant external stakeholders- Adaptability, flexibility, resilience, and team-work capabilities
