Yard Assistant

Join our team in Queanbeyan as a Yardsman, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our rental equipment is in top-notch condition. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve various tasks from checking equipment, pressure washing, and detailing to preparing machinery for rental, greasing, and checking oils.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Equipment Management**: Perform thorough check-ins and check-outs of rental equipment, ensuring it meets our high-quality standards.
- **Detailing and Cleaning**: Utilize your attention to detail in pressure washing and detailing equipment, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and functionality.
- **Mechanical Checks**: Prepare equipment for rental by conducting mechanical checks, greasing, and verifying oil levels.
- **Customer Assistance**: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with equipment pick-ups and drop-offs in the yard.
- **Independent Work**: Demonstrate the ability to work unassisted, meet tight deadlines, and manage your workload efficiently.
- **Advocate for Core Values**: Embrace and advocate for our core values, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.

**Required Skills**:

- **Machine Operation**: Hands-on experience with machine operation, showcasing your familiarity with various types of equipment.
- **Mechanical Aptitude**: Possess a mechanically minded approach, ensuring equipment is not only clean but also in optimal working condition.

**Advantageous Skills**:

- **Machine Servicing**: Experience in machine servicing, including tasks such as welding and spray painting.
- **Computer Proficiency**: Basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- **Truck License**: A truck license would be advantageous for specific tasks within the role.
