Hospitality Trainee

Tivoli Drive In has 12 full time paid traineeships available for staff in Hospitality, commencing mid to late August.

With funding support through the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work program we are offering 20 weeks full-time paid employment for 12 unemployed people who are keen to kick start their careers in Hospitality.

Applicants should be aged 15 or older (mature aged applicants seeking a fresh start will also be considered), have been unemployed for a period of six months and not previously obtained a Certificate in Hospitality.

The 12 successful applicants will be a part of a productive team working in our community café and kitchen - catering at movie nights and other community events and functions; plus preparing pre-cooked meals which are given to needy people across Ipswich. Successful applicants will receive formal training to receive a Certificate I in Hospitality while gaining experience in a vast variety of hospitality positions such as front of house, Barista and café, Back of house, Catering events and functions, Commercial cooking as well as short order cooking plus much more. As part of the project, participants will meet prospective employers and be given personal mentoring and support to help them transition into full time employment within the hospitality industry.

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
