Scope
As a key member of the Wabtec Control Systems Team, the purpose of the Signal Design Manager role is to be responsible to assist Engineering Manager for signalling design delivery of major multidisciplinary projects and ensuring the safe, effective and efficient delivery to meet project outcomes by exceeding client expectations on programme, cost and quality.
Primary Responsibilities
- Promote and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management systems are implemented and adhered to across all design activities.
- Manage the design delivery of all signaling deliverable by ensuring the effective and efficient delivery to meet project outcomes.
- Understanding contractual requirements and communicating these to the design teams.
- Providing leadership to, and coordinating the efforts of design teams.
- Manage day to day workload for signaling design team assigned to the project.
- Work closely with design team and provide all technical support to produce signaling design effectively.
- Ensure signaling design packages are produced in compliance to client standards, product manuals, project scope of works and Australian standards.
- Point of contact for all interactions related to project.
- Works closely with Engineering Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineers, Construction Team, Testing and Commissioning teams.
Background / Qualification
- Degree qualified in Engineering or Equivalent.
- Significant experience with PTA and Arc Infrastructure standards, project execution and design management.
