**The Opportunity**
Join the UNSW Faculty of Engineering that is one of the world’s leading Engineering schools with a long and proud history of developing new technologies that have had profound positive impacts for society. This is a recently created opportunity to facilitate the effective management of research contracts.
As the **Research Management Concierge,** you will play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and synergy between the UNSW Engineering academics and the UNSW Research Grants and Contracts (RGC) teams to achieve the faculty’s research outcomes. This multifaceted role involves engaging with internal stakeholders such as researchers, faculty executives and Heads-of-Schools as well as RGC and other UNSW support units. Your role will act as a bridge between the faculty and RGC, identifying priorities and is crucial in facilitating research grants and contracts.
This role reports to Faculty of Engineering Deputy Dean Industry Engagement, Innovation and Research and has no direct reports.
- Salary, Level 8: Starting at $118,883 per annum + 17% superannuation

**Skills and Experience**
- Undergraduate or post-graduate qualification and/or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and/or extensive experience, with significant experience in the review and preparation of agreements for a range of contract and competitive grants.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in managing relationships with researchers and/or external partners, government agencies, industry clients and multilateral agencies, including the ability to exercise initiative, tact and discretion in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential matters.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a highly complex environment with many activities underway at any one time.
- Evidenced ability to contribute to high-level strategic planning, policy formulation and implementation. Including the development and implementation of effective team strategic and operational plans for the delivery of services.
- Experience and ability to identify complex legal contractual issues and assist in the negotiating and influencing contractual matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring staff involved in the delivery of quality, customer focused services to clients.
- Evidence of supporting the continual improvement of workflows, service delivery and quality assurance by proactively suggesting improvements and implementing solutions as required, with evidence of high level analytical, prioritisation and time management skills.
