About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide Health Information Management support to the Service Lines and optimise Weighted Activity Units. The Clinical Documentation and Coding Specialist will also act as an expert professional consultant in the area of Weighted Activity Unit Optimisation and coordinate Health Information Service responses and actions as necessary
About you
- Proactively initiate, implement, maintain and review clinical information tools and processes to identify omissions and potential enhancements in quality and efficiency for the service line.
- Ensure that all information is available on discharge in preparation for clinical coding including completion of discharge summaries.
- Maintain knowledge of appropriate resources e.g. QHAPDC, Funding Agreement, Quality Improvement Payments, Localisations, new developments, legislation, and industry standards etc.
