Recognising the opportunity, CommBank formed a new strategic partnership with Karta in October 2021.
With ground-breaking technology that simplifies gift cards for consumers and businesses, we are bringing together an amazing team to operationalise our B2C gift card product, ‘Special' and our gift card products for merchants and partners powered by ‘Karta'.
As the VP - Sales, you will be responsible for the successful launch and commercialisation of our corporate gifting products, leading the sales, marketing and account management requirements end to end. Collaborating with the leadership, you will execute the go to market strategies and initiatives, coordinating all sales and partnership activity.
Your focus will be supporting the growth, ensuring the right operational requirements are in place to deliver on our promises to our customers and partners. **What you lead**:
- **Drive Sales Performance**
- Develop a strategy to grow B2B revenue, our Karta Rewards offer
- Leading and driving the ‘go to market' strategy
- Negotiate and build relationships with the relevant senior executives within corporate Australia
- Provide recommendation for sales forecasts and sales incentive schemes that drive results and are commercially savvy
- Leading marketing campaigns at a strategic and operational level, that deliver an effective sales and referral pipeline, building brand awareness and recognition
- Present business cases to ensure the use of appropriate sales systems and tools from our launch, through to ongoing optimisation to support the business further as we grow and scale
- Collaborating as needed with the product, tech & design teams as they work towards customer initiatives, data management and other key customer / client experience initiatives
- Work with the Finance team to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets and sales targets including stretch programs
- Conduct reviews to ensure all contracts with clients have the required commercial benefits and margin
- **Maintain and enhance key strategic opportunities**
- In collaboration with the Commercial team, bring partnership and sponsorship opportunities to life
- Manage expectations and relationships for our B2B Karta Rewards customers including commercial negotiations and conversations
- Effectively manage account relationships
- Ensure service level agreements are being met and all contractual commitments are adhered to internally, with support from Product, Tech, and Operations
- Ensure our customers have a best-in-class customer experience and the operational requirements are implemented and regularly improved
- Conduct regular competitor analysis, keeping an eye on a core agreed competitive set across AU, the US / UK and each market as we expand
- **Lead and Mentor a Sales Team**
- Build a resource plan, attract, recruit, and engage exceptional talent
- Lead and inspire the sales function to achieve and exceed performance targets
- Coaching, training, and mentoring team members to meet business plan and sales objectives
- Develop playbooks to capture our sales approach and techniques setting a blueprint for success
- Team output, building capability, creating a culture of performance, living up to commitments and having a focus on continuous improvement
**What you can demonstrate**:
- Extensive experience in a sales leadership role with a proven track record
- Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-suite
- A blend of experience from both large corporate and early stage / growth businesses
- Results oriented with experience leading the successful commercialisation and sales of new products on a local or global basis
- Excellent strategic and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Proven ability to drive the process improvement through to successful implementation
