**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Apprentice - Horticulture (Turf Management) responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintenance of sporting fields, grounds and gardens at Waterford, and East Perth Campus
- Cricket wicket maintenance and match day setup during the summer months
- Winter sports set up which includes AFL, Rugby, Soccer, Hockey, and Cross Country
- Daily ground clean-ups including rubbish pick up, leaf removal etc
- Irrigation repairs, maintenance, and programming
- Small machine maintenance including backlapping, greasing and oil checks
- Use of hand mowers, ride on mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, hedgers and hand tools
- Assist with grounds maintenance as required at Camp Kelly, Dwellingup
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
Essential Criteria
- A strong commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the Trinity College Community
- Willing to attend Accredited TAFE training
- A current drivers licence
- Genuine interest in the field of Horticulture
- The flexibility to adapt when situations change with little notice
- On appointment, the successful applicant will be required to:
- Provide/obtain a current WA Department of Education Criminal History Check prior to commencement of employment
- Provide/maintain a current Working with Children Check (WWC)
- Complete Mandatory Reporting Training
- Complete Staff Code of Conduct Training
- Acquire and/or maintain relevant Accreditation requirements to Work in a Catholic School
- Complete other staff training modules as requested
**SALARY**
$40,000-$50,000 plus 11% Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification
