API is currently looking to appoint an experienced Category Assistant - Ethicals to join our Healthcare Services Team. Based at the Camberwell Support office the Category Assistant has close working relationships with cross-functional teams, supporting the achievement of the category goals by ensuring compliance to efficient and streamlined end-to-end processes. The Category Assistant works in close alignment with the Category Managers to operationalise the category plan.

The Ethicals Category Assistant, while supporting the Category Managers in their roles with administrative tasks, also manages a category. This dual focused role structures ensures the Category Assistants workload is manageable but providing management and growth opportunities.

**About the Role**:
**Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Be involved in and support Category Managers develop a Category Plan which aligns with the Healthcare Services strategy and sees innovation meetings customers’ needs consistently across the category
- Support initiatives that involve the integration of healthcare monitoring devices with Sisu Health Stations
- Actively seek out opportunities to ensure API is a wholesaler of choiceReview master data to ensure correct pricing master data is maintained and margins are maintained
- Ensure the timely and accurate supply of data to drive financial reporting
- Engagement with suppliers to ensure accuracy of master data and claims income and facilitate loading of scan deals to ensure correct margin
- Perform an integral role within the cross-functional category team to ensure compliance to end-to-end Category Management processes, including range review, supplier and article on-boarding & exit, financial planning, etc., as applicable to the role
- Prepare concise and correct data / content for monthly reports, providing a clear update on the category performance
- Including assortments, pricing and deals including claims
- Use basic strategic sourcing concepts to identify, evaluate and select the best Supplier Partners who drive the category strategy and hold mínimal risk
- Build strong win/win relationships with Supplier Partners, to support achievement of the Category Plan

**About you**:

- Tertiary Qualification (Business, Marketing or Retail)

- Experience in retail or pharmacy stores
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Category Assistant, with a strong category management background - desirable
- Interest in developing understanding of supply chain management and flow on impacts
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities while delivering exceptional work within the required timeframes
- Perseverance and resilience to manage setbacks and work within a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to provide clear instruction and guidance to others helping them to understand process and the actions required to implement process
- Flexible and maintains a positive outlook toward change
- Able to self-manage while being an integral team member, supporting peers and helping them in peak times
- Sound analytical skills to analyse data, draw out and communicate rudimentary insights to address / support performance
- Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with high level of proficiency in excel required
