**About the Opportunity**
Bowral Hospital are recruiting for a Clinical Coder (Administration Officer - Level 4) to complement and enhance the current Clinical Information Department.

**What You'll be Doing**
The position is responsible for the timely and accurate coding of patient's episodes of care. If you would like to work in picturesque Bowral and always strive for perfection, then this is the role for you. Attention to detail will be at the forefront of this role and you will be pairing this skill with your detailed knowledge of medical terminology to make a real difference in this small, rural hospital. We are looking for an individual who has exceptional computer skills and is adaptable in learning new programs. You will be comfortable in speaking with a range of clinicians, managers and a range of other stakeholders and you will have proven excellence in your written and verbal communication skills.

You will be driven by setting goals, making priorities and achieving strong output targets and you will love all things statistics. You will have experience as a clinical coder and understand the complexities involved in the work and thrive on managing these intricacies.

**How to Apply**
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Completion of a recognised ICD-10-AM coding course (ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS) or relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management (with a clinical coding component).
- Demonstrated experience in clinical coding using ICD-10-AM/ACHI classification with knowledge of current Australian Coding Standards, medical terminology and experience in using the 3M Codefinder.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of the DRG allocation process.
- Demonstrated experience using Patient Administration Systems, eMR and other electronic medical record systems.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet required deadlines.
- Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated thorough understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
