An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and results driven Afternoon Shift leader to join our business in Altona. You will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of the afternoon shift warehouse operations. The position plays an active role in improving efficiencies, leading and influencing a fast growing team to achieve stated outcomes.

You will be given the opportunity to work extra hours and earn extra money with bonuses depending on your performance, team reliability and KPI's

**The priorities of the role will include**:

- Reporting to the Operations manger / DC Manager
- Supervise and oversee a team of 6-7 people on the Warehouse floor
- Meet Daily operations requirements
- Ensuring staff are meeting there KPI on Picks and Put aways
- Ensuring staff Are meeting all daily operational requirements
- Investigate and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Communicate with operations manager daily
- Determine and arrange weekly and daily labor in communication with Operations manager
- General Housekeeping / hygiene
- Actively promote a Strong Safety culture and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Stock take/Cycle counts
- Ensure equipment is always in good working order

**About your experience**:

- Experience in the Dairy Industry/Food /3PL warehousing
- WMS - Microlistics experience but not essential
- Current Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence
- Have a hands-on and "can-do" approach
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills
- Ability to show initiative, set and meet deadlines and determine priorities
- Must be well presented, punctual with a strong work ethic
- Flexible to work various hours in line with operational requirements
- Ability to implement Continuous Improvement concepts
- Punctuality and attention to detail
- Problem solving ability with a solutions
