**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**

SC1 Application of experience in management, implementation and resource allocation approaches and ability to deliver a comprehensive service to students with a disability in an educational setting.

SC2 Demonstrated ability in excellent time management skills, and to use initiative for problem solving, setting priorities and managing caseloads effectively.

SC3 Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team including SSG meetings and contribute to the achievements of the school priorities.

SC4 Ability to make data driven decisions in the design and delivery of combined disability and inclusion programs with a demonstrated commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others.

SC 5 Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills.

**Role**:
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction mínimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.

Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.

An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.

**Responsibilities**:
**Responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following**:

- Work alongside the Wellbeing leader to identify and coordinate the provision of support to D&I students
- To work within the processes and policies for staff at Macleod College including adherence to the Child Safe Standards.
- Facilitate the process for funding via the Program for Disability and Impairments portal for students identified as meeting the specified DET criteria in collaboration with Student Support Services
- Support teachers in identifying and responding to the additional learning and support needs of all students through the development of Individual Education Plans
- Facilitate and coordinate a whole school approach to improving the learning outcomes for D&I students - use IEP to work with teachers to develop and implement educational adjustments
- Co-ordinate the Teacher Aide team with planning processes, timetables and resourcing for students with disability and additional learning and support needs
- Design and implements the supports required to build teacher capacity so that all students access quality learning
- Develop collaborative partnerships and manages Student Support Group meetings with the school, parents and carers, other professionals and the wider school community, as required
- Case management of PSD students as delegated by Wellbeing and Inclusion leader
- Timetabling of daily Integration staffing
- Communication of specific D&I student needs to staff through COMPASS
- Coordination of PL about disability
- Creation and ongoing monitoring of IEP and BSP for PSD students in conjunction with external services
- Timetabling and coordination of SSGs a minimum of once per term per PSD student
- To undertake other duties as determined appropriate by the Principal.
