This 40-bed Aged Care Facility is passionate about providing experienced, flexible and innovative care solutions to ensure residents are comfortable and that their current and future care needs are met. An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate **Recreational Activities Officer** who is looking to join a supportive team and make a positive impact on the lives of their residents.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in implementing the recreation program, including group and individual activities
- Delivery of the recreation program, monitoring and evaluating resident participation, progress and interest level in recreation striving for continuous improvement
- Review lifestyle plans as part of the overall care plan evaluation process with input from the team and by liaising with the resident and/or family
- Respect and assist residents to practice their cultural, religious, intellectual, physical and social beliefs
- Take an active role in getting to know the clients and families

**Do you have the Required Skills & Experience?**
- 1 to 2 years’ experience working Leisure and Lifestyle within Aged Care in Australia
- Focused on improving the quality of life of the residents
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills & flexibility
- High level of computer literacy and documentation skills
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Unrestricted Current Driver’s Licence
- Rights to work in Australia

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Recreational Therapy: 1 year (preferred)
- Aged care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
