We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who wants to make a positive impact in people’s lives. **The Big Issue (TBI) Facilitator** role is part of a network of Vendor Support teams across Australia providing support to Big Issue Vendors as part of the Street Magazine Enterprise.

We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including disability, housing and mental health services.

**Our Offer**
- Permanent part-time appointment (20 hours/week).
- Salary of WCS 4 $71,364 - $76,537.89 pa (pro-rata) plus 11% Superannuation.

**The Key Tasks and Responsibilities Include**:

- Vendor sign-up, induction, support, and training; this includes meeting with Vendors on pitch walks, provide encouragement and opportunities for skills building.
- Facilitate social and skills building activities for Vendors, including the fortnightly magazine launches.
- Complete all administrative tasks related to the daily operations, including pitch bookings, magazine orders and case notes.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to ensure that the number of Vendors and magazine sales continue to grow, including fundraising activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with community agencies and stakeholders to secure additional support for Vendors.
- Build and maintain relationships with The Big Issue Australia’s program staff including Community Street Soccer Program and The Issue Classroom.
- _**To be successful in this role you must possess the following**:

- Certificate III in community services or similar qualification.
- Previous experience working with people from marginalised backgrounds.
- Understanding of the community sector.
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Friendly and flexible attitude, high energy approach to work.
- Demonstrated sound communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact positively with a variety of people.
- Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential enquiries and information.
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build and maintain sound relationships with individuals, carers and families based on mutual respect and trust.
- Demonstrated understanding of professional boundaries, privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision.
