**About the role**
As the Financial Crime Analyst - Fraud, you will play an integral part in the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud and scams impacting our customers. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Crime Fraud you will be part of a collaborative and high performing team who aim to mitigate fraud and scam risks to both our customers and the business. You will work closely with customers who have been impacted by fraud or scam, where you will discuss the details of the event while using various investigation techniques to gather information in an efficient and effective manner. You will also be responsible for managing and assessing alerts to detect fraudulent activity and taking the appropriate actions when necessary. This is an exciting and varied role working in a constantly changing environment.

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Crime Fraud and you will play a critical role in influencing and embedding effective Financial Crime Management across Great Southern Bank to ensure we protect our customers, the community and Great Southern Bank from criminal activity.
**As Financial Crime Analyst - Fraud you will**:

- Liaise directly with customers who have been impacted by fraud or scams, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service whilst gathering accurate information
- Complete comprehensive and detailed investigations which may include reporting fraudulent activity to external organisations
- Manage fraud alerts to identify fraud and scam activity
- Contribute to process improvements, to identify better ways of working
- Continuously enhance the alert monitoring process
- Actively manage various workloads with differing priorities

**What we're looking for...**
- Ideally at least 2 years’ experience in the financial services industry or a similar role
- The understanding of AML/ CTF requirements is preferred
- Demonstrable experience and/or exposure to criminal investigation techniques including evidence management and presentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with high attention to detail
- Strong negotiation, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-moving, agile environment, including autonomously with mínimal supervision
- Advanced computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite
