Caddies Creek Public School is a large primary school situated within the Blacktown Local Government area and the Quakers Hill school education group. The school has a current operational structure of 36 mainstream classes and three support classes. The school has a strong relationship with an energetic and effective P&C. and enjoys a positive reputation within the community. Caddies Creek PS provides an environment where every student is known, valued and cared for while also building increasingly strong, ongoing academic outcomes over years. The school has a student enrolment of 960 students with around 78% from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Specialist support staff work with students and teachers to ensure that teaching and learning is inclusive and supportive for all students throughout the school. These specialist teachers provide in class support, co-teaching opportunities and shoulder to shoulder planning with executive and classroom teachers to achieve school goals.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach primary English as a Second Language or currently completing or currently enrolled in an approved post graduate qualification for teaching English as a Second Language primary as recognised by the NSW Department of Education.
- Ability to lead professional learning and data informed practices within classrooms through demonstrated deep knowledge of the EAL/D Learning Progressions and ESL Scales.
- Willingness to support and deliver culturally inclusive initiatives to engage the student, staff and school community to enhance positive home /school partnerships.
- Evidence of outstanding collaborations and wellbeing practices that support the creation of positive learning environments within different learning contexts across the school.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the approved post graduate qualification for teaching English as a Second Language (primary or secondary) as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 12 months.
