**Responsibilities**:
**6 WEEK PAID INTERNSHIP - APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCE STUDENTS**

The role:
At GB, one of our key responsibilities is to support individuals who have been injured in the workplace, and assisting in their return to employment. It requires care and compassion, and our Claims Officers are there every step of the way. They do this by supporting the individual’s recovery, liaising with employers and treating health practitioners, and positively influencing the return to work process.

Aside from the regular coaching and support from your manager and team, and ongoing interaction with the wider intern group. At the end of the six-week program, we hope you’ve gained valuable insight into the insurance industry and a possible career with GB.

**What’s included?**

- Relevant training and an individualised development program where you will participate in activities such role shadowing, project work, and performing the specific duties of your area.

**About you**

Are you studying and/or qualified in Social Science (or similar disciplines) then this may be what you are looking for.

You don’t have to have insurance, claims or corporate work experience, but a passion for learning, dedication to service and a motivated disposition.

You must also have a passion for helping others, as this is part of our DNA at Gallagher Bassett. We’re here to support people through a difficult time, and empathy is important.

**Other key criteria**:

- You are a domestic student, with Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
You are scheduled to complete your studies in 2024 or later
You are available to undertake your internship between the dates of 8 Jan - 16 Feb 2024
