**About the role**
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our casual pool for the opportunity to support delivery within our various trades skills teams in the position of General Assistant - Toolstore Person. This role aims to provide ad hoc, urgent relief work for supporting skills areas. These roles are based in Western Sydney TAFE sites, Lidcombe, Miller, Granville, Macquarie Fields, Ingleburn, Campbelltown, Mount Druitt, Nirimba, Wetherill Park. This position will carry out manual handling activities and may be required to work to a roster.
We are seeking to build our casual talent pool for this region. All trades experience welcome, these include automotive, electrical, building and carpentry, bricklaying and plastering and fabrication.
**About You**
- You are a self-starter who is willing to be hands-on to support learning outcomes and delivery in the classroom.
- You are excited to share your industry knowledge and experience with others and available for casual work.
- You have demonstrated experience working within a trade environment, using a range of hand and power tools and able to conduct minor repairs and maintenance.
- You have the ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision.
- Are you looking for casual work while you study or looking for a second job, we will work around your current availability.
**Highly Desirable**:
- Demonstrated experience to follow WH&S instructions such as using correct PPE and following Safe Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
