Fashion Patternmaker

Mariam Seddiq is a Sydney-based Pret-a-Couture Designer recognised by its signature forms and architectural silhouettes.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Patternmaker to join the team. We are looking for someone who is creative and has high energy to fill this position. Not only would you be completing patternmaking, but also working with the team to complete design room assistant duties.

*IMMEDIATE START
TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:

- Good knowledge in pattern making, cutting and draping.
- Good knowledge of fabrication and fit.
- Garment construction and technical knowledge.
- Assist with garment fittings and pattern alterations.
- Assist with fabric swatches and sourcing.
- An understanding of technical drawings (freehand - digital knowledge is a bonus).
- An understanding of spec sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and creative flair.
- Maintain a passionate and positive attitude.
- Strong communication with the design team.
- Mood boarding and assisting the designer with collection building.
- May be required to assist designer with client fittings.

All required training will be provided upon commencement of the role.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $100.00 - $150.00 per day

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
