**Principal Compliance and Risk Advisor**:
**About the role**

The position of Principal Compliance and Risk Advisor is to provide first line compliance advisory, assurance and risk support within the Assistance Group Function. Our team is a high performing, results focussed team, who keep members at heart. We want someone who has a contemporary way of thinking - you should be able to think about the risks, not as a problem but as a solution.
- Support the consideration of the interests of the membership in compliance decision making, reporting and monitoring across the Group.
- Advise, collaborate with, and support other assurance, risk and compliance functional staff.
- Contribute and support the effective design and implementation of controls for all new and changing processes.
- Support the delivery of the risk management committee governance and reporting and administration of governance forums, including minuting and action management.
- Provide analysis and challenging of operational compliance obligations, incidents and other matters.

**About you**
- An enquiring mind and inquisitive nature to bore into issues, practices or organisations regardless of obstacles.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- 5-7 years relevant experience
- Critical analysis of problems to uncover hidden insights with an enquiring mind and inquisitive nature regardless of obstacles.
- Experience working in risk, compliance, audit or governance roles, preferably within the Insurance or Banking sector.
- Ability to adapt strategy to changing internal and external drivers and to promulgate changes stakeholders.
- A highly developed aptitude for empathetic reasoning.
- Technical risk management framework expertise.
- Critical analysis of problems to uncover hidden insights.
