**About the role**

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance planning services of Refinery equipment for the client and UGL. Your leadership skills will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, schedules and cost. You will be:

- Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with agreed HSSE practices and procedure as outlined in the Geelong Refinery Management System
- Plan work orders based on priority and end date.
- The planner will establish with the OMC if the repair work required is like for like replacement, or if engineering changes/MOC are required.
- The planner will consult OMC on shutdown and isolation procedures, timing for the equipment requiring repairs for inclusion into scope of work and provide feedback to OMC if long lead items will alter end date of work order.
- Site visit to work area for planning purposes - determine total scope of work, identify all resources/disciplines, equipment and materials and the order of JDE operations to complete work.
- Confirm QC/QA requirements of repairs with inspection e.g. piping class/ITP and identify correct materials for repair work; consult with asset engineer and/or reliability engineer if material selection is unclear.
- Confirm failure mode and discuss repair scope with asset and/or reliability engineer.
- Order material and services for work orders based on above by entering either a reservation of requisition onto components tab of work order - communicate with buyers where required and confirm delivery dates are obtainable.
- Planners to be responsible for monitoring of procurement requests.
- Create, update and maintain library plans against functional locations that require regular maintenance.
- Communicate work scope to external resources and obtain time and material estimates from external resources.
- Enter the following information into JDE - operation for every resource required to complete work; relationships between all operations, and float/lag where applicable; constraints where known e.g. start date of operation; shop papers and Generate work packs; estimated cost of work order manually before setting to status ready for scheduling; update work order when/where emergent work is discovered (communication/procedure needs to be adopted).
- Review planning KPI's, actual hours against planned hours and actual costs against estimated costs

**Required qualifications and education requirements**
- Minimum 3-5 year's experience in a planning and scheduling maintenance role or similar
- Sound working knowledge of a computerised maintenance management system preferably JDE

**Desirable / preferred skills**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a major facility within Operations / Maintenance / Projects or Turnarounds
- Demonstrated experience within the Oil & Gas Industry
- Industry related certificates or qualifications
- Knowledge and proficiency in the following computer packages:

- Excel
- CMMS - (Computer Maintenance Management Systems)
- AutoCad
- Ability to read P&ID’s
