Looking for friendly, experienced medical receptionist for a clinic in Mill Park for Part time weekend and weekdays when needed.

Our practice is supported by a FT Practice Nurse & psychologist.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Your duties will include:

- Will need to work between the hours of 9 am to 6 pm depending on the Roster
- Will need to do a rostered Saturday (once in 3-4 weeks) from 9 am to 1:00 pm
- Greet patients, visitors, and guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients.
- Register patients, update their personal and medical information, and verify insurance coverage.
- Coordinate and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and handle billing inquiries.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and empathy towards patients' needs.

Skills and experience

You will require
- High school certificate or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a medical setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is advantageous.
- Friendly and compassionate demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends, if required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
